Peach-Basil Bourbon Smash

Made with Big Storm’s Straight Bourbon Whiskey

The Peach-Basil Bourbon Smash is a delightful and refreshing cocktail that combines the rich, smooth flavor of Big Storm Straight Bourbon Whiskey with the sweet juiciness of peaches and the aromatic freshness of basil.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Big Storm Straight Bourbon Whiskey

  • 3-4 slices frozen peaches (thawed slightly)

  • 3-4 fresh basil leaves (plus extra for garnish)

  • 0.5 oz honey syrup (2 parts honey, 1 part water)

  • 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice

  • Ice

  • Basil sprig and peach slice (for garnish)

Preparation

  1. Muddle Peaches and Basil: In a cocktail shaker, muddle the thawed frozen peaches and fresh basil leaves with the honey syrup and fresh lemon juice until well combined and fragrant.

  2. Add Bourbon and Ice: Pour in the Big Storm Straight Bourbon Whiskey and fill the shaker with ice.

  3. Shake: Shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well-chilled.

  4. Strain: Strain the mixture into a rocks glass filled with ice.

  5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with a sprig of basil and a peach slice.
